My Mum-in-Law & "Grandma"

Created by alison scammell 2 years ago

Even at the grand age of 91, Margaret never really appreciated her truth "worth".  I'd say she was my Mother-in-law for the 12 years I was married to her son Robert, but in reality she was my Mother-in-law from the moment we met in 1984 and remained so, even beyond Rob and I parting. She was and will always remain a part of my family.

I cannot begin to set out in words how much Margaret's love and support helped me personally through the early years of my married life. She was simply the best. And she was the most devoted Grandma to our children Jack and Rhian, playing an integral part in their formative years and a huge support when I returned to work and was able to progress my career. Without her, I wouldn't be who or where I am today and I will be forever grateful to her for that opportunity.

My children adore her and their lives will be and are already enriched from her love and the time she spent with them.  They have so many beautiful memories.

Rest in peace "Mum" ... just one regret ... that you weren't able to stay with us just a little bit longer to meet your Great Grandchild ❤ who we will tell all about you. Sleep tight, until we meet again ... Ali xxx
